Our Aim
To train engineers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering who possess knowledge, skills and innovative thinking abilities appropriate to the needs of the age; to contribute to social development by producing solutions based on scientific, technological and ethical values in sub-fields such as energy, communications, control, electronics and artificial intelligence.
Our Mission
The mission of our Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department is to train innovative, research-oriented and responsible engineers who adhere to the scientific, technological and ethical values required by the modern age, generate knowledge at national and international levels, and can transform this knowledge into applications for the benefit of industry, the public and society. Our department aims to equip its students with the fundamental principles of engineering science through a strong theoretical foundation, while also developing their practical skills through application-oriented laboratory work, project-based learning approaches, and industry collaborations. In this context, the department's primary objectives include continuously improving engineering education to keep pace with current technological developments and imparting knowledge and expertise across a wide range of fields, from energy systems to control and automation, and from electronic circuits to communication technologies. Furthermore, fostering lifelong learning awareness, cultivating analytical thinking, teamwork skills, environmental awareness, and ethical values are integral parts of the department's mission.
Our Vision
The vision of our Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department is to be a nationally and internationally recognised department in the fields of education, research and social contribution, producing and developing technology, and standing out in engineering education with its understanding of quality and innovation. In line with this vision, the aim is to create an academic environment that encourages scientific research and development activities and directs students towards creative and entrepreneurial thinking. Our department aims to contribute to our country's technological transformation through high-quality research projects in strategic areas such as sustainable energy, automation, communications and electronic systems. At the same time, working in close collaboration with industry, it supports its graduates in making a difference in their professional lives by offering them opportunities to work on real engineering problems. It continues its work with the goal of being a pioneering department that contributes to national development and global engineering knowledge by nurturing individuals who respect ethical values, possess social responsibility awareness, are environmentally conscious, and embrace continuous development as a principle.
