The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in 2011 within the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University and began its educational activities in the 2011–2012 academic year. In the 2019–2020 academic year, the name of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University was changed to the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture.The Ph.D. Program was established in the 2021–2022 academic year and admitted its first students as of the Spring Semester.The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering continues its educational activities through seven departments: Circuits and Systems, Electrical Machines, Electrical Installations, Electronics, Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Engineering, Control and Automation Systems, and Telecommunications.The current numbers of students enrolled in the undergraduate and graduate programs as of the 2025–2026 academic year are presented in the tables below.
