Definition of Electrical and Electronics Engineering:

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a branch of engineering that encompasses the planning, construction and operation of all kinds of electronic, industrial and telecommunication systems, the development, utilization and supervision of systems related to the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.

 

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Goal:

The goal of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is to be a well-respected Electrical and Electronics Engineering department in its geographical region and internationally with its high quality education, research and applications.

 

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Undergraduate Program:

The undergraduate program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a 4-year program consisting of 8 semesters of 30 ECTS each, equal to 240 ECTS in total. The courses offered in the department consist of 20% basic science, 16% general culture, 44% Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the remaining 20% specialized courses. The Minor Program for Electrical and Electronics Engineering is implemented between our department and different departments of our university, and the Double Major Program is implemented between our department and the Department of Mechatronics Engineering. In addition, our students benefit from student exchange programs abroad within the framework of "Socrates-Erasmus" and "Mevlana" programs and in different universities within our country within the framework of Farabi program.

 

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering:

Education and research activities are carried out by 13 faculty members, 3 research assistants Dr. and 2 research assistants in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department has 7 departments:

 

  • Circuits and Systems Department,

  • Department of Electrical Machines,

  •  Department of Electrical Installations,

  • Department of Electronics,

  •  Department of Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Technique,

  • Control and Command Department,

  • Telecommunication Department


The department has 4 classrooms and 4 laboratories (Electronics and Measurement Laboratory, Electrical Machines and Power Electronics Laboratory, Industrial Automation and Robotics Laboratory, Computer Laboratory) with adequate equipment. In addition to these laboratories used in undergraduate education, there are two research laboratories for graduate applications.



 

Every year, 60 new students enroll in our department through the university entrance exam with MF4 score. The number of undergraduate students currently studying is 288. In addition to education and training activities in our department, various activities are carried out within the department and university-wide clubs and communities. Projects supported by the Ministry of Development, Ministry of Industry, TUBITAK and BAP are carried out in our department.

 

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Jobs:

Graduates of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering have job opportunities in the fields of electrical energy generation, transmission, distribution and management, electronic devices, nanotechnology - micromechanics, system modeling, information technologies, robots, control, telecommunications, lighting, interior installation and project, optics, defense and security, etc.

 

Mission of Electrical and Electronics Engineering:

The mission of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is to train graduates who can be successful on an international scale, to carry out development projects and scientific research in accordance with the needs of the country, and to produce science and technologies that will contribute to the power of the state and the nation.

 

Vision of Electrical and Electronics Engineering:

The vision of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is to have the standards of education, training, research, student affairs, building infrastructure and working environment, organizational structure and functioning required by international accreditation bodies.
